Dr. Ken Van Dyken
A native Washingtonian, Dr. Ken is happy to return to the Inland Northwest after almost a 6 year hiatus. His wife and him are happy to be back where it all started – they met while attending EWU in Cheney and fell in love with the surrounding area. They are grateful to live in a community where family roots can grow deep and look forward to being part of the Inland Northwest once again.
Dr. Ken’s passion for learning and his interest in the human body led him to pursue a degree in a Exercise Science and with the nudging of a friend, decided to enroll at University of Western States in Portland, OR. There he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine after four years of graduate studies, internships and countless hours of studying. Dr. Ken fervently believes that medicine is a service based profession, and as such, seeks to care for his patients with kindness and compassion. His passion is to enable people to move, empowering patients to take control of their health, educating them on the human body and proper movement, and returning them to a full life once again. Dr. Ken achieves this by combining soft tissue therapies (instrument assisted work, myofascial release and more) rehab and hands on manual therapy techniques. He prefers to fit the tool to the patient, rather than the other way around!
He is married to the wonderful horse lovin’, barrel racin’ and all around awesome wife, Keele. They have two boys who constantly keep them on their toes, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Some of his favorite pastimes include fishing, fly or otherwise, watching and playing soccer, cooking and gardening.
