Variety of Chiropractic Techniques
Every patient is treated with an individualized treatment plan designed for their unique healthcare needs. This often involves using one of many types of chiropractic techniques. For some patients this means using extremely low-force maneuvers such as muscle stretching, massage and the Activator Technique. Other patients benefit from more conventional adjusting procedures, such as Diversified or Gonstead techniques. Our goal is to provide you with the appropriate technique for your special healthcare needs.
Advanced Training in Muscle Therapies Our clinicians have special training in treating muscle injuries, including both the spine and the extremities, such as the hip or shoulder. We combine techniques, including massage and muscle stretching with specific exercises to provide quick, yet long lasting pain relief. We also have special training in the Graston Technique, a specialized protocol for muscle injuries used by many professional sports teams.
Rehabilitation Experts
Rehabilitation is critical to our patients’ full recovery. As part of your specific treatment plan, we incorporate exercise therapy and movement rehabilitation to help you get better, faster. You are unique and therefore, so is our approach to rehab. We develop individualized tools for you, including lifestyle changes, ergonomic recommendations and exercise therapy. The goal is always to empower you, our patient, through movement education.
Convenient Location Our clinic is conveniently located just minutes from the I-90 freeway on Sprague Avenue between Pines and Evergreen.
Massage Therapy and Nutritional Consulting Professionally licensed massage therapists are available and are providers for most major insurance plans. We also offer nutritional counseling services.
Medical Referrals – A Team Approach
We frequently receive referrals from medical physicians in the community. There are also times when a referral to another physician is needed. In fact, the research clearly demonstrates the power of integrative care. One such study was recently published, and they found that:
- Chiropractic care + usual medical care led to better results in treating low back
pain in active duty military members. - Satisfaction was higher, low back pain decreased more than those who received usual care, and less drugs were needed to control pain!
Yet another study, looking at recent onset low back pain found the following:
- When chiropractic care was added to standard medical care for those who suffered low back pain, those patients had “a significant advantage for decreasing pain and improving physical functioning when compared with only standard care”.
We have a great referral relationship with the medical community and work closely with primary care physicians, physical therapists, orthopedists, pain management specialists and other health professionals to bring you the most specific and necessary care available.
Modern Facility Our state-of-the-art facility provides a professional, yet comfortable, atmosphere including large, private treatment rooms. Additionally, we have secure access via the internet to imaging studies performed at Inland Imaging, the Multicare Rockwood Clinic or other locations.
Insurance Billing Our clinicians are providers for virtually every insurance plan including Medicare, Premera, Kaiser, First Choice, Asuris, Aetna, PHCO, and Labor & Industries. Our friendly and courteous staff assists with any billing or scheduling questions you may have.
